Sharing some recently added designs

Just wanted to share some designs I created for a wonderful customer in Maryland, she wanted a couple of very special Christmas presents for her daughters. I loved them so much, I just had to add them to Girl Party Tutu’s line of TuTu Dresses. ENJOY!

What a year I’ve had

Pinky Preppy Single Puff TuTu,

So as my first year of business is coming to end, I am trying to take sometime to reflect on the things I did well and was successful at and the things I need to work on this next year. Well the first thing I determined during my first year of business is that running a business, taking care of 2 little girls, running a  household and blogging is extremely difficult and requires a ton of planning, preparation and organization. I obviously found zero time to post anything here after September. I was not  prepared in the least for the rush I experienced at Halloween. Very good mind you but blogging pretty much went out the window. Immediately after Christmas came preparing for the 4, yes 4 craft shows I elected to do, I really believe I went insane when I signed up for all of them. The other crazy thing was my first show was November 8th, a little over a  week after the Halloween rush ended, because yes I was filling orders until about 3 days before Halloween. So again yet another thing I was unprepared for as I maybe had 5 tutus ready for the shows and had a goal of 50?!. But all in all the craft shows went really well. My mom was a huge help at each show, thank god for my mom, though she swears she didn’t do anything. It was nice to have some time to just talk with her, since children, there as been very little time to just sit and visit with my mom uninterrupted. Anyway the best thing that came from the shows, besides the good sales and contacts made, was that not one person could walk by my booth without it putting a smile on there face. I have to say if my fun little creations can make someone a little happier just by looking at them and I sell some along the way, I’m pretty lucky.

Then came Christmas, very very busy, thankfully and crazily so. I was much more prepared for Christmas with regards to supplies and managing my time( I basically got very little sleep for a month if you can call that time management, LOL). And thankfully a week of rest.

All in all a great year, I couldn’t possibly tell you all I’ve learned in this one post, so over the next few weeks I am hoping to post more about the goals I have set for myself for this year. I thank all of you that have taken the time to read my posts and visit my site. I am looking forward to another year in business and hopefully will do a much better job of blogging.
